What is it with Sundays and me. I either hate them or love them. I seem to go into overdrive, dusting like a maniac and screaming because mud has been traipsed through the house. I have two sons who spend their Sundays playing football and rugby, and believe you me, mud gets into some pretty weird places. At the moment I am sat here and my youngest son wants a bacon butty, I tell him to get on and make it. He stares at me with a glazed look about him. Duh!! |

January is a strange month for me, I always make a conscious decision to not make a lot of jewellery, as I am sure you realise, we all need a break from the job. Instead I procrastinate ( a lot) shop, meet up with friends and try to partake with other craft activities. This year I have decided to join a ceramics club, we shall be making lots of lovely trinkets including a teapot and jewellery. Watch this blog for photos of my masterpieces!! Shopping is my other favourite past-time. |

Its that time of year again, where we punish ourselves by standing outside for days on end in the cold. Dressed in something out of a Nanny McPhee film. Flasks are at the ready, one will be filled with home-made butternut squash soup, to keep a bit of warmth on my carcass. Well my stock has quadrupled, as we have four days in Gloucester and then next week we have four days in Worcester. I am hoping for a good return. So if you are in either of the above vicinities, do come down and say "hi". |

Alice in Wonderland has arrived at Jana Jewellery. The vintage look is very on trend this season, especially the 1940's. I have gone for a vintage feel with some of my jewellery, using antique gold findings. I have used a variety of Alice in Wonderland pictures to make clock faces. Vintage buttons have also been added. I am very pleased with the look. I have also gone for a more modern look by using some silver plated chain with vintage buttons and pearls. |

Jana Jewellery is now going International. A local Gloucestershire company is hoping to sell my products in Japan. Apparently, the Japanese people who visit the UK each year love the Cotswolds and all the handcrafted produce we sell. This new website will be exhibiting all things made locally in the Cotswolds. The website is about to go live, however its all in Japanese. I am very excited and hopefully the Japanese will like the button range and charm bracelets as much as the British. |
